Puppet Manipulation and Voice One Hour Workshop Puppet Workshops can be held at any in location in New England and are open to both children and adults.
Puppet workshops were recently held at the following locations: The Gerwick Puppets provides all of the materials for a puppet making workshop which they do throughout New England. These workshops work very well with elementary school children from second grade and up and also with students in junior high school. The workshops also work well with adults. Note that we have done workshops for teachers who make puppets and then continue with their own workshops with their classes. Puppet making can be integrated with reading and writing as children have to read the stories from which they are taking their puppet characters. If they are creating their own stories, there is a necessary writing component to this. Therefore puppetry can become an exciting and important part of the education process. Older students and adults can make specific characters which are taken from life, history and literature. Students can often use these characters to perform stories they have read or to create their own dramas, plays and puppet shows.
