Deborah is co-founder of The Gerwick Puppets; She has a degree in Art Education, teaches workshops about puppetry and art in education, is a mother and has a deep care and respect for young children.

This new version of Cinderella takes place in the land of the Woodland Fairies. Cinderella is a fairy who lives with her stepmother and stepsister in an enormous old Oak Tree. The King of all woodland fairies wants his son to marry a fairy princess. The Prince is looking for someone who is kind and good. So the King hosts a great ball and commands that every single fairy maiden in the land must attend. He is hoping that a fairy princess will come, and he knows the secret to identifying a true fairy princess!

“The Three Billy Goats Gruff”, “The Three Pigs”, “The Shoemaker and the Elves” and “Stone Soup” are the classic stores retold in Debbie’s cleverly updated, less violent versions. Whimsical silhouette puppets are operated behind a white screen creating very unusual and mesmerizing shadow effects. The show is designed for groups of not more than 60 people! A darkened room is necessary!
